An interesting and well acted period drama showing the heady days of Hollywood in the 1930s. Universal fertility values. It has its moments, but just not enough of them to make it more than a just okay movie. Maybe it's up to the viewer to decide. Woody Allen has a way of capturing the tone and essence of whatever setting and time period he is highlighting and transports the viewer seamlessly into that world.
